A training on eco friendly village was given to the NSS VOLUNTEERS by Shuchithwa mission , Kasargod on 25/5/2013 11 A M -2 PM. Vinod Kumar.K, Asst Coordinator, Shuchithwa Mission Kasargod was the trainer.
The programme was inaugurated by Sulochana T .V ,ward member in a function presided by C J MATHEW the school PTA president .The welcome was delivered by Amrutha N T ,nss volunteer.VARSHA K.V,nss volunteer extended a vote of thanks.Mathew K.D,Principal ;Damodaran K V, Secretary,Happy Arts and Sports club ,Kollada;Radhakrishan C K, programme officer;Riya Joy and Sreerag P, both nss volunteers spoke on the occasion
The programme was a part of the project named Shuchithwa Gramam (Clean Village )in KAMBALLUR which envisages the selection of an area in school premises consisting of 25-50 houses and changing the zone into a model village with proper waste management systems,promotion of biodiversity,enhancement of literacy level,conservation of energy and ensuring water safety.
In the afternoon session, the area to be surveyed was fixed after a group discussion.An out line of the the action strategy was also prepared.A survey of the area will be conducted at 2 pm tomorrow 26/5/2013 to fix the zone of action.The help of the kudumbasree units, local clubs ,other NGOs, the various departments and agencies of the government will be sought in the next step before finalising the strategy. The shuchithwa mission wing of Kasargod is collaborating with 22 units of national service scheme in KASARGOD DISTRICT in this project.
