55 units of blood was collected from the Donation Camp initiated by the BLOOD BANK UNIT,DT.HOSPITAL , KANHANGAD ; the National Service Scheme unit ,GHSS Kamballur and the Senior Citizen Forum, Kamballur as part of the republic day celebrations on 26/01/2016

Ratheeshkumar.P, one of the PAC  members of higher seconadary national service scheme in Kasargod district who has already donated blood 53 times was honoured in the inaugural function.Teachers of GHSS KAMBALLUR ,Rajesh.P and Subhash  who have also donated blood many times were also felicitated on the occasion.Ratheesh master detailed about the benefits of blood donation in the orientation session .His presence and words had a deep influence in the audience .

Shyamkumar Kamballur, Augustian Master,Manojkumar Master,Pushpakaran P played a pivotal role in canvassing the participants.Most of the participaints were first timers between the age group 18-25.This marks the first of the ten blood donation camps planned to be conducted in the Kasargod East Cluster this year(2016)-
