Environment Day

1100 plants were distributed today IN COLLABORATION WITH THE FORESTRY DEPARTMENTand THE ECO CLUB.The distribution was inaugurated in the morning by SULCHANA K (WARD MEMBER ;EAST ELERI PANCHAYATH)  in a function held in the morning. The nss volunteer leader

Priyesh. P was handed over the first plant. A pledge to plant and protect trees was taken by all the students in the campus. There was a poster display by the NSS UNIT in the campus

based on the theme ENVIRONMENT DAY.

In the afternoon,50 plants were planted in the campus; one plant each by the NSS VOLUNTEERS. PTA members were present.

The follow up programme this month will be as follows.

11/6/2012- Environment quiz;

25/6/2012 -GramavanamA rally in the town and a visit to the near by kavu,planting 100 trees,Kavya Sandhya(Rendering Eco Poems )

2/7/2012 –Analysing and  recording the bio diversity in the campus.
